How to join a StudyLink Live Chat Event

Ten easy steps to participating in online chat events:
1. After registering for the event you will receive your username and password (contact Lewis at lewis.davies@studylink.com if you haven’t received yours yet).
2. Go to the chat window at chat.studylink.com 10 minutes before the event start time so you don’t miss anything. You may have to wait a few seconds for the page to load completely.
3. Enter your username carefully. Click Connect.
4. You will then be asked for your password
5. Click OK. This will bring you to the chat room and your name should now appear on the left side of the chat room.
6. Post a question by typing in the lower portion of the chat window. Click Submit.
7. Your questions will enter a queue and will be answered as soon as possible, however, sometimes you may need to wait a few minutes.
8. If you need help, click the email link to send an email to the event moderator or call the number on-screen.
9. StudyLink counselors will be contacting you during the event – watch out for messages from them
10. To logout, click the button with the red arrows or click Action and scroll to Exit.
Remember your computer must be JAVA enabled in order to access the chat room. If you don’t have Java installed go to http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp to download free software.
